Kambiz - First Gift

Album Review:

One afternoon in the spring 2006, I saw Kambiz at the window of his music room, watching nature play its role with all its beauty.
He told me, “I think I know how my next CD is going to be--colorful music, relaxing, at the same time uplifting--something everyone would like to listen to.”
Then he picked up a piece of paper and pencil, went to his piano, and wrote: love, desire, happiness, anger, sorrow. All of these feelings exist in one’s life, Kambiz said; therefore, the music of this album will be the interpretation of all these emotions.
He started this album with the A Purple Rose from Saghi and finished it with Return of Memories. Kambiz said, “I hope this collection of my music brings some joy and comfort to people.”
I am happy to recommend Kambiz‘s CD “First Gift” as a perfect gift.

Short Biography of Kambiz Taleghani:

I recall that at age ten, music was becoming a major aspect of my life.
While I listened daily to lovely, poetic Persian songs and melodies, I was becoming more fascinated with the harmony of western pop and classical music.
I decided to play a musical instrument. At the age of 14, after trading some of my LPs with a friend for his classical guitar, I became acquainted with a whole other world--that of creating my own music.
At that time I sang twice in children’s music programs on Iran Television. By age 19 I had written more than a hundred songs, and I had sung and recorded twice on Iran Radio. Despite being offered contracts with Iran Radio and others, I decided to come to the United States to study music.
In 1975 I received my first degree, in vocal music and development, and in 1977 I received my masters in instrumental music and composition. Since then I have been enjoying every minute of my life with teaching and writing. (I probably have over 500 songs and compositions in my file that need to be published.)
I would like to thank those who have emailed me in response to my music. I answer every one of them with all my heart.
