a question i would like answered please

hi forum

just a question i would like to ask people who have had experience traveling to Iran or who might otherwise know he answer

i want to go to Iran, (am Tehran born) but only have an Australian Passport, it would take a couple of months to get an Iranian passport and i want to go now and well lets just say because .... my mother is sick and needs my help

i dont really feel comfortable asking the Iranian embassy these things, but is it possible to go to Iran if you are iranian with an Australian passport???

this is ofcourse only for a short visit

also my farsi isnt that great..is 'gozarnameh' the same thing as 'passport'

i had the same problem as you exccept i was born in australia and i had to make a shenasnameh ( birth certifcate) in order to make a iranian passport so i could go.. i couldnt go to Iran with an australian passport as both my parents are born in iran therefore under their law.. im 'iranian' and not australian so i codnt go wid a visa i had to go wid an iranian passport.
from the airport here you go wid ur australian pasport
then once you get to tehran you show your iranian passport .. i no hassle ay. but thats how it works.
for you because your born in tehran you definitley have to go wid an iranian passport no option of going wid the australian passport im pretty sure. becos if i had to go wid an iranian passport and i was born here an iranian born would too like my mum was born in iran and she went wid her iranian passport, so same thing as i sed from here its australian passport then once u get ther its your iranian passport. double check but thts how i remember it it wasnt long ago i was there i back in february
